RBCares Incorporated

RBCares Inc was established in 2009 by Rowville Baptist Church to oversee a number of welfare services that have supported the community for many years. RBCares believes in providing quality support to the local community and beyond.  Our services are founded on the ideals of community cohesion; offering a hand to help and a ear to listen, and include the services listed below.

Wellington Care Centre

The Wellington Care Centre exists to offer real help to our community, in times of real need. It offers a number of services including:

  • Counselling – Trained, professional counsellors to help with a range of life issues and challenges for adults, youth & children. Including experienced play therapists, relationship counsellors and qualified counselling supervisors for other professionals. 
  • Seminars – On a range of topics to help live life to its fullest.
  • ‘The Well’ Drop-In Program – Emergency food parcels and household items are avaialble, with the opportunity for a good conversation over a coffee and snacks. Operates every Tuesday from 10:30-1:30am.

Food With Friends

Come and join us for a wonderful community meal, with individuals and families from our local community. This free meal is held every fortnight, starting from 6pm, held in the Rowville Baptist Church Foyer. Everyone is welcome, either to join in the meal or to help serve. Check the dates for the meals below, and even print them out and pin them up for easy reference.

Kid's Hope

We run a Kid’s Hope mentoring program in Rowville Primary School. This involves spending one hour each week in the school term with a child to help, support and encourage them. Kid’s Hope operates under the auspice of World Vision Australia.

Christmas Day community lunch

On Christmas Day, we provide a free lunch and gifts for those who are experiencing financial hardship or social isolation. About 80 guests are served a traditional Christmas Lunch. For details in participating or volunteering, contact the Wellington Care Centre.
