Our Staff Team

Brent has been involved in Christian ministry for over 35 years, including pastoral ministry in New Zealand and Australia, cross-cultural mission in Ecuador and serving in Christian organisations. He is married to Glenda and they have three married children and 12 beautiful grandchildren. Brent is passionate about seeing people of all ages growing in their relationship with Jesus and discovering their place in God’s Big Story. Outside of church Brent enjoys dates with Glenda, walking, birdwatching, travel and at least a couple of good coffees each day.

Kath Donker is married to Gerald and they have three adult children. In 2012 they returned as a family from East Africa after having served in cross-cultural mission for 10 of the previous 12 years. Kath loves talking, laughing and learning with others. She is passionate about the church being a community that loves well so that Christ is evident. She enjoys nature photography, especially capturing pictures of birdlife.

Pastor Sean has been at RBC for over 20 years; he was basically born into it. For a number of years now he has served in youth leadership and is now our Pastor to Youth. Sean has been studying theology and ministry at the Melbourne School of Theology for the last 3 years. He is committed to seeing youth people grow in faith and connect with one-another. Any chance he gets Sean tries to go and play a round or two of disc golf, and of course, loves having his own podcast.

Pastor Sam Chan is the lead pastor for the Eastern Chinese Baptist Church and is committed to making disciples for Christ. He is married to Pauline, and they have served at ECBC for over twenty years. They have two brilliant children and a lovely grandson and they love sports and travelling.

Catherine is married to Stephen and they have 2 adult children. Catherine has been a member of RBC for many years and enjoys serving as our office ‘go-to person’. She is also a literacy teacher when she’s not working in our office. Catherine loves pottering around in the garden, appreciating the wonders of nature provided by God.
